Editorial Policy
How we research providers, how the rankings are calculated, and what we do when we get something wrong.

Our purpose
Menopause care moved online quickly, and the marketing got ahead of the evidence. This site exists to give women a straight comparison of what each provider actually offers — the hormones they prescribe, what it costs, who reviews your history, and what happens after the first prescription.
How we rank providers
Every provider is scored against the same weighted criteria. Symptom guides re-weight these for the symptom in question — a vaginal dryness ranking gives more weight to local estrogen options, a night sweats ranking to transdermal delivery — and the weighting used is published on each guide.
How we research
- ›We review each provider’s own site, intake flow, pricing pages, and terms — including the fine print on membership renewals and compounded medications.
- ›We check state availability, prescriber credentials, and which hormone formulations are actually offered rather than merely implied by marketing copy.
- ›We read patient reviews across multiple platforms, looking for repeated, specific complaints rather than one-off ratings.
- ›We ground clinical claims in guidance from bodies such as the Menopause Society and in published research, not in provider marketing.
Independence from advertisers
We earn affiliate commissions from some providers, disclosed on every page and explained in full in our advertiser disclosure. No provider can pay for a higher rank, a better score, the removal of a drawback, or a different quiz outcome. Scores are set before commercial terms are considered, and every review lists cons alongside pros.
What we are not
We are not clinicians and this site is not medical advice. Our content is reviewed for accuracy by our editorial team against published clinical guidance, but it cannot account for your medical history, medications, or risk factors. Hormone therapy decisions belong between you and a licensed provider. Our HRT quiz is an educational symptom assessment, not a diagnosis or an eligibility determination.
Updates and corrections
Provider pricing and offerings change often, so rankings and pricing are reviewed on a rolling basis and pages carry a review date. If you find an error — a stale price, a discontinued formulation, a state that is no longer served — email us. We verify, correct promptly, and note substantive corrections on the affected page.
